So what is Beaver Builder?

The short answer is that Beaver Builder is a WordPress page builder with a powerful drag and drop interface that makes it easy to create and manage your site’s pages.

If it’s so easy, why do you need a Beaver Builder Pro?

As with anything, saying something is “easy” is relative. If I gave someone a math problem that was 1+4 and then said math is easy, that wouldn’t necessarily be wrong. But giving someone calculus or trigonometry and calling math easy isn’t quite the same. Both are math. And some people find calculus easy. (I certainly don’t.)

Easy is both subjective based on the complexity of the task you are trying to complete as well as the level of experience you have when attempting to complete it. Every day I’m asked if a website will be easy to maintain. For some people it will be. For some people it won’t be. And there’s no way to know for sure which camp someone might fall into.

In addition to that, there are things that might be easy to do with Beaver Builder and other things that may be more complex. I think creating a page layout, or editing a premade template that is available, are things that are fairly simple to learn to do with Beaver Builder.

However, creating templates for custom post types, templates for products and events, or even custom designing for the mobile experience, those can be a lot more complicated.

Why I chose Beaver Builder?

I say all the time, there are many different ways to build a website. There are many paths to a single destination, that doesn’t alternate paths wrong. And just because it’s my way, doesn’t mean it’s the right way. (It’s true, I’ve been wrong on occasion.)

Anyway, I’m always trying to learn new skills, pick up tricks, and figure out ways to do what I do faster and better, and years ago someone started talking about Beaver Builder on Twitter, and so I started looking into it. This was WAY before Gutenberg emerged. And in my opinion, far exceeds what Gutenberg offers and is easier to use. But I digress.

I got the plugin, and started using it layout my pages. I didn’t change my themes. I was a big Genesis fan at the time and wasn’t ready to jump ship. But I started using Beaver Builder to layout pages and what I loved about it immediately was a few things. Number one, it didn’t give me anything I didn’t already know how to do. At least at the time. But it made all those things faster. It made developing responsively faster. It made adding CSS faster.

Overtime, I eventually got the Themer Addon, which allows you to edit whole parts of the theme like the header, footer, etc, using BB. Then eventually I just went all in and got the theme as well, so now every website we make is using Beaver Builder. If you look through our portfolio, you will see lots and lots of sites that all look great and are easily managed because I am a Beaver Builder Pro.
