Jean Thilmany

I write clear, concise, compelling articles, blogs, case studies, web-copy, and a variety of other collateral that get the story told clearly, yet with verve.

I work with corporations, agencies, and magazines and I bring them readers, buyers, and increased engagement. I know how to structure content and to tell a story that keeps readers reading until the very end.

I’ve spent 15 years on the editorial staff of Mechanical Engineering Magazine, covering all types of engineering and bioengineering stories, including 3D printing, Internet of Things, and simulation for medical modeling. Bylines have appeared in Manufacturing Technology, MIT Technology Review, Chicago Tribune, Inc., and many specialty trade magazines. I’ve frequently written about business and plant floor technology, including automation. Corporate work includes Stratasys (3D printers), Emerson, Grainger, Protolabs, and the University of Minnesota Center for Transportation Studies.
