WordPress Web Design

WordPress is a great content management system, and by that I mean it is great for managing your content. But it’s not easy to design and develop. If all you need to do is peruse the available themes, pick one, and voila, your site looks great, then that’s easy. But most themes require a minimal amount of configuration and set up that can be confusing and difficult for the WordPress novice.

You may need a WordPress expert!

A WordPress expert is someone who works in WordPress full time, who knows it’s many ins and outs, knows about themes and plugins and tiny details that are often confusing for those who run a website, but don’t make websites.

Sumy Designs has been building websites with WordPress since 2006. That means we have twelve years of experience with WordPress. (The first version of WordPress was released on May 27, 2003, so we only missed out on a few formative years.)

Our portfolio currently has more than 150 websites in it, all of them built using WordPress. This doesn’t even include all the sites we’ve built for folks who no longer have their website. (People who’ve switched jobs, retired, or moved on to other adventures.)

Do we know everything there is to know about WordPress?

No. But we know a lot. And my favorite part of working with new clients on WordPress sites is that there is always something for me to learn. I never want to stop learning new skills when it comes to WordPress.

We also know a lot of other WordPress designers and developers, and this network enables us to forge relationships that helps us not only grow our skills, but develop a resource for project collaborations.

I have a passion for solving problems.

There is nothing that energizes me more than solving someone’s WordPress problem. This is the kind of thing that haunts my dreams and keeps me up at night – if there’s a problem, I need to find a solution. This applies to many aspects of my life, but particularly with WordPress. And I know there’s always a solution ready to be found.
