Pantone Studio App Review

It is no secret that I love color, so today I downloaded Pantone’s Studio App to give it a whirl. Pantone has been around since 1962 and their color matching system has been the industry standard pretty much ever since. I was pleasantly surprised with capabilities even the free version of the app was able to do.

You can take a photo, or use an existing one and the studio app allows you to capture the colors in that image and convert them to a Pantone palette.

You can take this palette and select a variety of colors and share them with your Creative Cloud or send them directly Photoshop. You can name and save the palettes for later use. You can also mix the colors up and use the interactive studio to how the colors from your image will look in a variety of setting and situations.

Pantone Studio App has a lot of good potential for anyone who is looking for an easy way to gather Pantone colors from images and photographs and then use them in print or web designs.
