Sometimes a good photo can be better if the item of interest is enhanced with a blurred background. This is easy to do in photoshop.

First, open your photo into a layer in photoshop and make a copy of your layer.

Next, using your eraser tool on your copied layer, erase the foreground part of the photo that will not be blurred. It is helpful if you turn off your original layer while you are doing the erasing so you can see what where the deletion if happening.

Next, using the Gaussian Blur tool, blur the copied image to the desired blur. FILTER>BLUR>GAUSSIAN BLUR. I set mine to a little over 40 pixels.

Then, turn on your original layer and enjoy your new photo.
