Sumy Designs is primarily a two-person design and development team, and I suspect we aren’t the only WordPress designers out there who operate with less than a handful of employees. We’ve learned a lot over the past ten years and have come up with a discovery and design system that has been successful for us.
I’ll be presenting on behalf of Sumy Designs and my talk is geared toward WordPress designers who primarily create websites for small businesses. We’ll cover the best methods for obtaining detailed discovery information so you can design a website that will target your client’s audience and fulfill their end objective. Detailed topics will include specific discovery methods relating to the client’s competition and marketing goals; how to gather aesthetic information required for design; the best use of style guides; and presenting design drafts for client approval.
