Yellow is a color many people affiliate with joy, elation, happiness, and creativity. It is no wonder companies like Cheerios, McDonalds, Nikon, Shell, Ikea and Amazon, just to name a few, use yellow as their signature or as a significant part of their logo or marketing material. Using yellow on your website is a fast and fun way to grab someone’s attention.

An unusual, but beautiful, trend right now is pairing yellow with shades of gray. Gray is the color between black and white and is a neutral color. Gray is often associated with conformity, modesty, or boredom. Gray also tends to add a vintage touch and brings softness to a design that can compliment yellow by adding a historic element or a touch of sentiment.

Here are some color combinations, in shades of yellow and tinted grays, that may work well for your next design project:

Goldenrod and Spruce Gray

I like this combination. It would be sweet if you would add links to some websites using these colors though 🙂

I will work on this in the future, thanks for the input, Anton.
